Privacy notice

How Direct Line Medical collects, uses, and protects information submitted through the care request process.

What we collect

Your name, date of birth, email address, phone number, the general reason for your request, required identification images, insurance-card images unless you select self-pay, the consent you sign, and a reference to a payment method held by our payment processor.

How it is used

Only to identify you, contact you about your request, decide whether care can be provided, bill for care that was provided, and keep a record that the request happened. It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared with anyone outside the practice and the services needed to run it.

Text messaging and mobile information

Text messages are optional. We send request- and visit-related SMS updates only when you explicitly opt in during intake. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts or HELP for assistance. Your choice does not affect access to care. Mobile phone numbers, mobile information, SMS opt-in data, and text messaging consent are never sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Service providers may process communications only to operate our messaging service, subject to applicable privacy safeguards. Clinical details are not sent through ordinary SMS.

How it is protected

Your information is visible only to the practice’s authorised providers after they sign in. Uploaded photos are private, opened through short-lived links, and each viewing is recorded. Card numbers are entered on the payment processor’s own page and are never stored here. Your request details never appear in an email, a text message, a website address, or any analytics.

Your clinical record

Direct Line Medical does not use this website as the permanent location for your medical record. Information that must be retained for treatment, billing, payment, healthcare operations, or legal and regulatory requirements may be securely transferred to the appropriate clinical or administrative system. Your clinical record is maintained separately in the practice’s electronic health record system.

Keeping and removing information

Information is retained only as needed to provide care, complete billing and payment activities, operate the practice, and meet applicable legal or regulatory requirements. Information that does not need to be retained is securely removed when it is no longer required. Incomplete intake drafts are not submitted to a provider and may be securely deleted without becoming a care request.

Contact

To ask about your information, contact the practice directly using the phone number or email address on your visit paperwork.
